The people that make it happen...
Phil Wade – Founder & Director
pwade@vault1.com.au
Phil Wade is the person behind the concept of VaultOne. Phil brings to the company eight years of experience in the finance industry and much exposure to the trials of fundraising.
Phil is a very active member of the Variety WA Bash team and it was through his association with Variety and helping with fundraising events, that he started thinking there must be an easier way to fundraise. Understanding the challenges charities face on a yearly basis was the driving force behind the vision of VaultOne.
Phil has had experience in financial fields previously operating as a Loan Writer and Financial Planner, this gave him the insight into passive income and how it could benefit Not For Profit Organisations.
For the past eight years Phil has been actively involved in the property development market resulting in the ownership and management of Residential & Commercial Pty Ltd.
During this time Phil achieved many qualifications in financial studies. He completed courses at two colleges in Sydney and in Perth, completing 8 subjects. At King’s International College in Sydney he completed Core Regulated Financial Knowledge, Financial Planning, Managed Investments and Investment Property Sales in a Regulated Environment. In Perth Phil attended the Securities Institute, gaining Specialist Knowledge in Insurance, Derivatives, Superannuation and Securities.
It was also very important to Phil that the company operates with full disclosure to ensure the integrity of the product. Phil recognises the face of fundraising is changing and wishes to see VaultOne at the forefront of this movement by accessing finances that would not normally be available for such purposes.
Phil is a passionate and innovative gentleman with a real vision for a fair go for all. Phil excels in the field of sales and business development.

Tom Monks - General Manager
tmonks@vault1.com.au
After spending 12 years at the coal face of social services in the capacity of support, delivery, advocacy and management, Tom has developed an intimate understanding and empathy within the human services sector. Tom’s commitment is amplified by his feverish passion to attain equality and opportunity for those that have been disadvantaged by life circumstances and events.
Tom has forged a path through the area of disability, multiculturalism and youth affairs, which now sees him Chair a variety of State and National peak bodies, Commonwealth Government Ministerial Committees and Advisory Councils. Tom has contributed to welfare reforms ranging from disability accessibility to issues relating to youth employment and social participation.
Tom began like so many within the not for profit sector as a volunteer, he quickly turned his part-time passion into his life work. Through his own experience, Tom has found very little assistance when help was needed from the systems that supposedly protect and support those that have been disadvantaged and disenfranchised. Tom took those experiences onboard and galvanised his commitment towards assisting people who have been disempowered by the system and society.
After working with non-government organisations who are constantly operating on minimal funding and witnessing innovative social programs being instigated but collapsing after the initial funding ceased, Tom experienced first hand the frustration of the unsustainable framework that the sector has to operate.
Tom is an extremely valuable member of the VaultOne team, within his role as General Manager his goal through promoting the use of our services is to offer the support he knows so many need. Tom believes in empowering communities to make social changes and the engagement in initiatives that assist the shift to new paradigms that are accessible and sustainable to all.
